Description
An ancient station on the Roman road to Gades recorded in the Antonine Itinerary, ad Herculem must have been associated with the Herakleion on the southern end of the island of Cotinussa. Scholars differ on the precise location; their efforts are complicated by significant landscape change since antiquity.
