Description

Baliares/Gymnesiae Inss. (Maior et Minor) (The Balearic Islands) is an island group of the western Mediterranean Sea, located to the east of the Iberian peninsula. In modern geographical terms, the four largest islands of the group are Majorca, Minorca, Ibiza, and Formentera, but the latter two are also part of the Pityussae island group of antiquity.
